Robert helps clients achieve their business objectives and mitigate risk by counseling them through a rapidly evolving compliance landscape. Drawing on previous experience as in-house counsel for two technology-focused Fortune 500 companies, he takes a commercial approach to:

  • Supporting clients in their product development, data-driven initiatives, and adoption of new technologies
  • Drafting and updating internal and external policies, notices, and other compliance material
  • Negotiating data privacy and security contract terms and data processing agreements

  • Strategic data-driven commercial arrangements
  • Bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including working with court-appointed Consumer Privacy Ombudsmen

Robert was among the first attorneys in Texas to be recognized as a Privacy Law Specialist, an accredited certification provided by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and he often presents on privacy as a panelist or featured speaker at conferences and forums.
