Riccardo Danelli is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Riccardo represents clients on all aspects of EU competition law before the European Commission and the Italian Competition Authority, as well as before the European Court of Justice.

His experience covers advising international and Italian companies on EU and Italian competition law in a broad range of sectors, including life sciences, automotive, and communications.

Prior to joining Latham, Riccardo worked as a competition lawyer in an Italian law firm and gained experience as a trainee in the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.

Riccardo’s experience includes representing:

  • Conceria Pasubio (PAI Partners) in the merger control aspects of a transaction related to the luxury leather sector
  • BC Partners on merger control matters in the casual dining sector
  • A major automotive company in the damages claims following the European Commission’s Trucks case*
  • A major healthcare company in a long-standing antitrust procedure before the Italian Antitrust Authority and the European Court of Justice*
