Saem Kim is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Emerging Companies & Growth Practice. Saem represents emerging and established startups throughout their lifecycles, as well as venture capital and growth investors that invest in startups. She advises clients on a broad range of matters, including:

  • Capital raising, including venture-backed and other financings
  • Corporate governance matters
  • Equity incentives and employment matters
  • Securities law compliance
  • Mergers and acquisitions

Saem maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently advising senior individuals with their life planning documents.

  • The Block, an information services company, in its US$70 million acquisition by Foresight Ventures, a Singapore-based crypto investment firm
  • Nalu Medical, Inc., a private company focused on innovative non-opioid solutions for chronic neuropathic pain, in its US$65 million equity financing
  • OpenStore, one of the largest acquisition and scaling platforms for Shopify stores, on its US$32 million Series B-1 financing
  • PowerToFly, an end-to-end diversity recruiting and retention platform, on its Series B financing
  • Kaiyo, a full-service marketplace for gently used furniture, on its US$36 million Series B financing
  • Axios HQ, a communications software company spun off from Axios, on its US$20 million Series A funding round
  • Codagenix, a clinical-stage synthetic biology company, on its US$25 million Series B extension financing
