Nikki advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.

Nikki’s experience includes advising:

  • A consortium led by Starwood Capital Group, Sixth Street, and SSW Partners on the US$7.1 billion take-private of ESR Group Limited by way of a scheme of arrangement from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This deal represents the largest privatization from the HKEX since 2021. This transaction was awarded Asia Pacific Deal of the Year by PERE Awards 2025, PE/VC Deal of the Year by China Business Law Journal’s Deals of the Year Awards 2025, and Best Property Deal: Hong Kong and Best M&A Deal: Hong Kong at the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2025 
  • Patria Investments Limited on the carve-out acquisition of a private equity solutions business (abrdn Private Equity) from abrdn Inc.
  • TPG Capital on the acquisition of a controlling stake in Malaysia’s Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, a premier private university. This transaction was awarded Best Private Equity Deal: Southeast Asia at the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2024
  • TPG Capital, together with Hong Leong Group, on the acquisition of International Medical University (IMU), a private health science university in Malaysia
  • An Indian investment and asset management firm, in its structured equity investment in Crimson, a pan-India K-12 schools platform engaged in acquisitions and developments of schools
  • A global investment firm on raising a €500 million real estate co-investment fund and various other co-investment funds
  • Various international funds on compliance with AIFMD with respect to their marketing and investment activities
  • An ad hoc committee of offshore bondholders in relation to the restructuring of the 15 series of US$ guaranteed bonds of Zhenro Properties Group Limited, a high-profile Hong Kong-listed Chinese real estate developer, with a face value of circa US$3.2 billion
  • A global technology company on its global privacy compliance program for its product launches, including cloud services, social media communications, and gaming products, with a focus on GDPR, CCPA, and data protection compliance in Asia, as well as advising on the company’s telecommunications and payments regulatory compliance for various product offerings
