Melange Gavin is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.
Melange advises public and private companies and their officers and directors in all aspects of litigation, including major motion practice, fact and expert discovery, and trial. She primarily represents clients in connection with:

These companies span numerous industries, including airline, electric vehicle and automotive, biotechnology, medical devices, and financial institutions.
Melange maintains an active pro bono practice focused on impact litigation and advocacy for survivors of domestic abuse, including recently achieving clemency for a domestic abuse survivor.
Melange received her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. While at Columbia, Melange volunteered at a housing clinic, where she worked with clients facing a variety of housing and tenant law issues. During her time in law school, Melange also assisted in coaching undergraduate mock trial teams.
Before attending law school, Melange attended the University of Notre Dame where she graduated cum laude.

In re DXC Technology Company Securities Litigation – Won dismissal of securities class action and stockholder derivative lawsuits against DXC Technology and its directors and officers arising out of the Company’s revenue projections and workforce optimization plan
Qawasmi v. American Airlines Group Inc. – Achieved dismissal of securities class action against American Airlines and its directors and officers arising out of certain of the Company’s commercial initiatives

A Latham Securities and M&A litigation team secured a significant victory on behalf of American Airlines, winning a dismissal with prejudice in the Northern District of Texas of a securities class action against the airline.
