The City Bar Justice Center has recognized a Latham team with its Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award.

A team from Latham & Watkins was recognized with a 2025 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award from the City Bar Justice Center, the pro bono legal services affiliate of the New York City Bar Association.

The New York-based team included partners Herman Yue and Blake Denton as well as associates Ryan Schachne, Bradley Puffenbarger, Melange Gavin, Amanda Kurzydlowski, Kendall Krumme, Elizabeth Cangialosi, and Chloe Kim. They were honored for their work with the City Bar Justice Center’s Homeowner Stability Project.

Since its inception in 2008, the Homeowner Stability Project has assisted homeowners facing various stages of home loss, among them mortgage foreclosure and payment arrears.

“What’s most rewarding about working with the City Bar Justice Center is having the opportunity to help fellow New Yorkers, especially those who might otherwise be facing a housing crisis,” said partner Herman Yue. “When the odds are stacked against a vulnerable client, we are proud of our ability to help as lawyers, and grateful for our longstanding partnership with the City Bar Justice Center — their support and advocacy make all of our work possible.”
