Maurice Baynard is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins.
Maurice received his JD from Duke University, where he served as a notes editor for the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy and served on the Moot Court Board. While at Duke, Maurice also received his Masters in Public Policy. Prior to law school, Maurice worked as a paralegal, primarily assisting on IP litigation matters.
A Latham team led by Sean Berkowitz and Serrin Turner won the “Litigators of the Week” competition, recognized for securing complete dismissal of the SEC’s landmark enforcement action against SolarWinds and its CISO, Tim Brown.
Three Latham teams secured major wins in Antitrust, Securities, and Appellate litigation, blocking an FTC merger challenge, defeating securities claims against Adobe, and upholding a US$5.2 billion compensation package for Trade Desk CEO.
Latham litigators earned recognition for defending SolarWinds in New York federal court and for scoring a complete trial victory on behalf of New Relic, Inc.
