Mattia Siena is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Mattia represents public and private companies, private equity funds, and strategic investors in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, dispositions and carve-outs, joint ventures, reorganizations, shareholder activism, corporate governance, and general corporate matters.

He advises clients across a variety of industries, including technology, healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, asset management, and energy and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Latham’s New York office in 2025, Mattia was an associate in the Latham Milan office (since 2022).

Mattia’s experience includes advising:

  • Astorg in the approximately US$1.075 billion acquisition of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global microbiology business.
  • One Rock Capital Partners in the acquisition of a majority stake in American Furniture Rentals, a leading national furniture rental provider
  • ArchiMed portfolio company Natus Medical Incorporated in the acquisition of Micromed Holding SAS, a global provider of neurophysiology solutions
  • Apollo in the acquisition and financing of the European colocation business of STACK Infrastructure from funds managed by Blue Owl Digital Infrastructure Advisors
  • Apollo in the acquisition of the majority of equity interests in Lottomatica Scommesse S.r.l. and in Lottomatica Videolot rete S.p.A.
  • EQT Partners in the sale of a majority stake in Facile.it to Silver Lake
  • TPG Capital in the acquisition of the controlling holding of DOC Generici, a leading producer of generic drugs in Italy
