Mario Barka is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice. 

Mario advises clients in all areas of EU and international competition law, with specific experience in behavioral cases, multijurisdictional merger control clearances, as well as regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Latham, Mario worked as an associate at another international law firm in Brussels.

  • Golden Energy and Resources Limited (GEAR), a leading energy and resources company, on its acquisition of the Illawarra Metallurgical Coal business from South32
  • HongShan Capital on its acquisition of a majority stake in Golden Goose Group S.p.A., a leading luxury sneaker maker
  • ArchiMed on its acquisition of ZimVie, a global life sciences leader in the dental implant market
  • Abcam, a biotechnology company, on its sale to Danaher
