She advises clients across a range of sectors and industries, including technology, life sciences, internet and digital media, media and entertainment, and consumer products.

Prior to joining Latham, Lauren served as a lead in-house corporate lawyer for a publicly traded Canadian software company, advising on its global M&A activities and strategic investments. She also previously practiced as a corporate associate at a major Canadian law firm.

A recognized leader at the firm, Lauren previously served as a local leader of the Women Lawyers Group and on the global Recruiting Committee.

Lauren’s experience includes advising:

  • Cadence Design Systems on various strategic acquisitions, including:
    • Acquiring Hexagon AB’s Design & Engineering business for €2.7 billion
    • Acquiring Rambus’ SerDes and memory interface PHY IP business
    • Acquiring BETA CAE Systems International
  • Skydance Media on merging with Paramount to form “New Paramount” at an enterprise value of approximately US$28 billion
  • e.l.f. Beauty on various strategic acquisitions, including:
    • Acquiring rhode, a multi-category lifestyle beauty brand founded by Hailey Bieber, for US$1 billion
    • Acquiring Naturium, a developer of skin care formulas and brands
  • NVIDIA on acquiring Run:ai labs, an Israel-based compute-management platform for AI
  • Five9 in connection with its US$14.7 billion potential acquisition by Zoom
  • Okta on various strategic acquisitions
  • Penguin Solutions on redomiciling from the Cayman Islands to the US
  • Entrust on selling its public certificate business to Sectigo, a computer security services provider
