Laura Bladow advises corporate and individual clients in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on securities litigation.

Laura represents clients from a range of industries in high-stakes matters in state and federal courts, including:

  • Securities fraud class actions
  • DeSPAC litigation
  • Shareholder derivative litigation
  • Contract disputes
  • Intellectual property litigation
  • Other complex litigation

She maintains an active pro bono practice advocating for the best interests of at-risk children in high-conflict custody cases as a court-appointed guardian ad litem.

Prior to joining Latham, Laura served as a law clerk to Judge Carolyn B. McHugh of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and Judge Rebecca Beach Smith of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

During law school, Laura was the editor-in-chief of the William & Mary Law Review

Laura’s recent experience includes representing:

  • fuboTV and certain of its officers in securities class action and derivatives suits that alleged securities law violations
  • Riverstone Holdings and certain former directors and officers of Alta Mesa Resources, Inc. in a securities class action and opt-out suit alleging securities and state law violations arising from a deSPAC
  • Nissan and certain of its former officers in a securities fraud class action in the middle District of Tennessee, arising from allegations that the automaker failed to disclose executive compensation for the Company’s former CEO and Chairman of the Board
  • 2U, a leading education technology company, in a securities class action alleging misleading statements in connection with financial projections
  • A multinational ecommerce company in a copyright infringement lawsuit and Digital Millennium Copyright Act defense case filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia
