    Lachlan Sievert is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Lachlan represents public and private companies and private equity funds in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law matters.

    He advises clients on a variety of transactions within the energy and resources, consumer goods, and healthcare technologies sectors.

    Prior to joining Latham, Lachlan worked as a mergers and acquisitions associate in a leading international law firm while based in Melbourne, Australia.

    Experience

    Lachlan's experience includes advising:

    • Vistra Energy, a Fortune 500 retail electricity and power generation company, in its US$6.3 billion acquisition of Energy Harbor and creation of Vistra Vision, a leading zero-carbon generation and retail platform
    • Bang Energy, a leading energy drinks and performance beverage manufacturer, on closing a chapter 11/Section 363 sale of its assets pursuant to an asset purchase agreement with Monster Beverage Corporation
    • Paper Excellence in its US$2.7 billion acquisition of Domtar Corp., a leading provider of fiber-based products
    • BHP on the unification of its dual-listed company structure by way of UK scheme of arrangement*
    • TPG Capital on its A$250 million acquisition of Funlab*
    • BGH Capital on the take-private of Village Roadshow by scheme of arrangement*
