Kenny Hildebrand is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Restructuring Practice. 

Kenny represents public and private companies, creditors, and other clients in complex corporate and insolvency matters. He advises clients on a variety of transactions across various sectors, such as retail, aviation, and energy.

In addition to his practice, Kenny is committed to pro bono work, having collaborated with various nonprofits to advocate and represent underserved clients. His pro bono efforts include work with the Innocence Project, Legal Services NYC, and Sanctuary for Families.

Prior to joining Latham, Kenny worked in the New York office of another leading global law firm.

  • Gossamer Bio, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical company, in its exchange offer and consent solicitation to exchange its outstanding 5.00% convertible senior notes due 2027 for newly issued secured notes, common stock, and warrants, eliminating over US$120 million of debt
  • Casino, Guichard-Perrachon SA, a global food retailer with operations in France and Latin America, and six of its affiliated subsidiaries in connection with their US chapter 15 cases to obtain recognition of the restructuring of €6.1 billion in liabilities through French safeguard proceedings*
  • Sunlight Financial Holdings Inc., a leading solar financial services company, and its debtor affiliates in connection with its prepackaged chapter 11 cases and acquisition by a consortium of established investors in the solar financing industry and its senior secured lender*
  • Scandinavian Airlines, a publicly traded airline based in Sweden, in connection with its global restructuring and chapter 11 reorganization*
  • Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of mattresses in North America, in connection with its chapter 11 case with approximately US$1.9 billion in debt obligations*
  • Basic Energy Services, Inc., one of the nation’s largest oilfield service companies with more than 2,400 employees, and its affiliates in connection with their chapter 11 cases, and sale of substantially all of their assets*
  • Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA and its affiliate, Arctic Aviation Assets DAC, in their US chapter 15 cases to obtain recognition of the restructuring of US$5.9 billion of liabilities through Irish examinership and Norwegian reconstruction proceedings*

Creditor, Sponsor, and Other Party 

  • An ad hoc group of secured lenders to Nordic Aviation Capital, the world’s largest regional aircraft lessor, on bespoke restructuring transactions for multiple aviation financing structures implemented under pre-arranged US chapter 11 proceedings, including a consensual remarketing and mortgage enforcement financing arrangements*
