Julian Westerbecke is an associate in the Frankfurt office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Julian represents clients across a broad range of industries before the German Federal Cartel Office (FCO) and the European Commission (EC) on all aspects of German and European competition law, as well as in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

His work focuses in particular on regulatory aspects of merger control and foreign investment screening proceedings.

Prior to joining Latham, Julian practiced at leading international law firms in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. During his legal clerkship, he completed a placement at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and gained additional experience in the Brussels competition law team of a leading German law firm.
