Josh Barkow is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Josh represents public and private companies as well as private equity funds on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic acquisitions.

Prior to joining Latham, Josh was a mergers and acquisitions associate in the New York office of another leading international law firm. He obtained his JD from New York University School of Law, where he served as an articles editor of the New York University Annual Survey of American Law.

Prior to law school, Josh earned his BA in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia. He now serves as a mentor in the Virginia Alumni Mentoring Program.

    • Completed sale of OpenBet
  • Gulf Oil, a portfolio company of ArcLight Capital Partners, on its sale of four refined products terminals to Global Partners and the sale of its marketing business and US trademarks to RaceTrac
  • Ka’ena Corporation in its acquisition by T-Mobile
  • Lindsay Goldberg in its investment into MMS Holdings
  • Paper Excellence and Domtar in their US$2.7 billion acquisition of Resolute Forest Products Inc.
  • The Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Sculptor Capital Management on Sculptor’s acquisition by Rithm Capital Corp.
