Jannik Geiter is an associate in Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt office and a member of the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.
Jannik advises German and international creditors, investors, companies, management, shareholders, and insolvency administrators in connection with:
- Financial restructurings (in-court and out-of-court)
- Domestic and cross-border financing matters
- Operational corporate restructurings
- Acquisition of distressed companies, restructuring, rescue financing, or refinancing transactions
He studied law at the University of Frankfurt, focusing on europeanization and internationalization of law. In parallel, he worked for four years as a student and research assistant in the dispute resolution department of an international corporate law firm focusing on the defense against mass claims.
During his legal clerkship, he gained experience in an international corporate law firm in the white collar crime department, in banking resolution law at BaFin, and in the legal department of a major German automobile manufacturer.
