Herman Ahmad is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Herman advises financial sponsors (including private equity funds and their portfolio companies), corporates, and social impact organizations on a broad range of corporate matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, management incentive schemes, and other general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Herman trained and practiced at a Magic Circle firm and spent time on secondment to EQT and Cinven.

Herman’s experience includes advising:

  • Nordic Capital on its acquisition of Liberis, a leading global embedded finance platform, and its further investment in Qred, one of Europe's foremost digital small business banks
  • A leading global asset manager on acquiring a large residential real estate portfolio
  • bp on its sale of a 65% stake in Castrol to Stonepeak*
  • Applied Systems, a Hellman & Friedman portfolio company, on its strategic acquisition of Cytora, an AI-enabled risk processing platform*
  • HBX Group, a Cinven and CPPIB portfolio company, on its IPO and pre- and post-listing reorganization*
  • General Atlantic on its acquisition of an additional stake in Argus Media from its co-investor, Hg Capital*
  • Cinven on its acquisition of Master Builders Solutions*
  • British Asian Trust in the establishment of an ed-tech accelerator as part of its Back-to-School Outcomes Fund*
  • Certain charitable organizations on the winding up of a social impact bond*
