    Giuseppe Liotine advises clients across all aspects of EU and global competition law, with deep sector experience spanning technology, life sciences, energy (including renewables), and consumer goods.

    Giuseppe guides companies active in a wide range of industries on competition law matters involving:

    • Global merger control proceedings across Europe, the Middle East, and Americas
    • Cartel issues
    • Abuse of dominance allegations

    A recognized leader in the field, Giuseppe was consultant to the EU Policy Division of the Ministry of Economic Development in Rome.

    Giuseppe re-joined Latham after serving as Senior Counsel for Competition at a leading Saudi energy multinational company, where he was in charge of antitrust and foreign subsidies workstreams on several global deals, supporting the company’s strategy in downstream, renewables, new energies, venture capital, and AI.

    Before joining Latham, Giuseppe worked in the Rome and London offices of another international law firm.

    • EQT on acquiring Casa.it, one of Italy’s leading online real estate classifieds platforms
    • A leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) supplier on a European Commission abuse of dominance investigation relating to exclusivity agreements
    • Broadcom on abuse of dominance proceedings concerning its set-top-box and modem business and related court proceedings
    • A major technology company on a European Commission investigation into nonpoaching agreements in the technology sector
    • A multinational pharmaceutical company on an abuse of dominance investigation (excessive pricing) launched by the Italian Antitrust Authority and in subsequent litigation before the Italian courts, as well as on a parallel European Commission investigation*
