Gauthier Martin is a recognized expert in the infrastructure and energy sectors. He heads our Public Law practice in Paris, covering its full scope. He advises clients both in litigation and transactional matters, particularly in the energy, transport, telecommunications, and defense sectors.

Gauthier helps clients develop their strategic projects by guiding them through market practices and the complex regulatory frameworks applicable to infrastructure, energy, and regulated sectors more generally.

He regularly advises public authorities, major private sponsors (including energy companies, industrial groups and investment funds), as well as their lenders, on sophisticated contractual structures and complex regulatory issues relating to major infrastructure projects in France and internationally, such as nuclear power plants, offshore wind farms, gas, electricity and hydrogen transmission networks, fiber‑optic networks, data centers, motorways, rail lines, ports, airports, stadiums, hospitals, and prisons.

Gauthier is also widely recognized for his expertise in public procurement law, public property law, state‑owned entities law, and State aid matters.

Alongside the sponsors and developers he advises, Gauthier also handles strategic disputes relating to infrastructure projects and complex regulatory regimes.
