Friederike Hammwöhner is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s global Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Friederike advises clients on a wide range of EU competition law aspects and represents them before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission. She assists clients in navigating the increasingly complex regulatory landscape comprised of FDI, merger control, and foreign subsidies rules in the EU and globally.

Her experience covers several industry sectors, including healthcare, retail and consumer, transport and infrastructure, software, and insurance.

Prior to joining Latham, Friederike worked as an associate at another international law firm in Brussels, and as a trainee at the European Commission and the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations.
