Dr. Enno Mensching is an associate in the Litigation & Trial Department in the Frankfurt office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the global Antitrust & Competition Practice.
Enno advises on all aspects of foreign direct investment (FDI) and merger control law with a focus on cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He represents companies in high-profile transactions before regulatory authorities (including the European Commission, German Federal Cartel Office, and Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy), coordinating multi-jurisdictional FDI and merger control notifications, and securing the respective clearances around the globe. Additionally, Enno advocates for clients in proceedings before national and international courts.
Before joining Latham, Enno worked at leading international law firms in Frankfurt and Stuttgart. During his PhD and his legal clerkship, he worked for the Legal Advisor of NATO’s International Military Staff in Brussels, the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, and the Economic Department of the German Mission to the United Nations in New York City.
Enno is a member of the International Law Association, the German Investment Screening Forum (Forum Investitionsprüfung e.V.), and the Study Association of Antitrust Law (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.). His PhD thesis was shortlisted for the German Thesis Award and honored with the Teufel Foundation Prize.
