Emma Leatherbarrow is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Emma advises clients on a variety of transactions, including domestic and cross-boarder mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate matters across a range of sectors.

Prior to qualification, Emma trained in the firm’s London office, gaining a variety of experience in corporate, antitrust and competition, and leveraged and infrastructure finance.

Emma maintains an active pro bono practice, representing charities in respect of corporate governance matters and understanding their legal obligations.

Emma’s experience includes advising:

  • Whirlpool Corporation on its joint venture with Arçelik A.Ş, creating a combined €6 billion revenue business, as part of its global portfolio transformation
  • CoStar Group, Inc. and CoStar UK Limited, its wholly owned indirect subsidiary, on its recommended cash offer for London-listed OnTheMarket plc
  • L Catterton on its investment in Value Retail, owner and operator of luxury shopping destinations, including Bicester Village in the UK
  • Farfetch in the expansion of its luxury new retail partnership, alongside Alabbar, with an agreement for Farfetch to acquire 47.5% stake in YOOX Net-a-Porter (YNAP) and for Richemont and YNAP to each adopt Farfetch Platform Solutions
