Ellie Wilson is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice.

Ellie advises clients on a broad range of employment-related transactional and advisory work, including complex cross-border M&A, employee transfers, large-scale restructuring and redundancies, outsourcing, restrictive covenants, senior appointments and exits, whistleblowing, and disciplinary matters.

Ellie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Share Plan Lawyers group.

Prior to joining Latham, Ellie trained and qualified at a niche employment firm and practiced for more than five years at a Magic Circle law firm in London. She then moved in-house as Senior Legal Counsel (Employment) in a FTSE-100 company before returning to private practice.

Ellie’s experience includes advising:

  • Anglo American on the employment aspects of its merger of equals with Teck Resources Limited
  • CVC in the acquisition of Smiths Detection
  • A range of companies on senior executive appointments and exits, including FTSE-250 and a global financial services company*
  • A fintech startup company on setting up employment arrangements in the UK*
  • Pro-bono clients on various employment advisory matters, including tribunal claims*
