Elena Yeung is an associate in the Singapore office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Elena's practice focuses on cross-border M&A and joint ventures in the Asia Pacific region. 

Prior to joining Latham, Elena was an associate at a leading international law firm.

Elena's experience includes advising:

  • Warburg Pincus on the merger of two of its existing portfolio companies, D&J China and New Ease China, into DNE Group as the leading new economy infrastructure platform in China
  • Vingroup on the VN$4.7 trillion (approx. US$203.1 million) investment led by GIC in Vinmec International General Hospital JSC, the medical unit of Vingroup 
  • Carlyle on its Series D investment into Abbisko, an oncology focused biotech company in China
  • Princeton Digital Group, a Pan-Asia data center operator, on its US$360 million late-stage venture capital investment from Mubadala Investment Company, Warburg Pincus, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board
  • Vingroup on the joint venture between Vincommerce, the consumer retail unit of Vingroup, and Masan Consumer to create VCM Services and Trading Development JSC, a Vietnam-based vertically integrated retail business
  • Vingroup on the US$1 billion equity investment from SK Group
  • ARA Asset Management Group on its acquisition of a majority stake in the LOGOS Property Group, a logistics real estate development platform
  • Sinotrans, the largest integrated logistics service provider in China, on its acquisition of KLG Europe, a leading logistics solutions provider in Europe
  • Trustar Capital, formerly CITIC Capital Partners, and FountainVest on their acquisition of a 55% stake in Loscam, a leading pallet pooling company, from Sinotrans 
  • Trustar Capital, formerly CITIC Capital Partners, on its acquisition of Axilone, a global provider of premium packaging solutions to the beauty care industry, from Oaktree Capital
  • Templewater on its acquisition of Singapore Breast Surgery Center, Central Luzon Integrated Oncology Centre and Can-Care from TE Asia Healthcare*
  • ZQ Capital on its acquisition of Popular Holdings Limited, an operator of retail bookstore chains, education centres, publication and distribution
    businesses for SGD 350 million*
  • Greenlight Planet, a provider of solar energy products to those without access to a consistently reliable and affordable electrical grid in Africa and Asia, on
    its Series D and Series D-1 financing rounds, which raised an aggregate of US$450 million across multiple closings from General Atlantic’s BeyondNetZero, M&G Investments’ Catalyst, and LeapFrog Investments*
  • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on its US$150 million equity investment in VerSe Innovation, India’s biggest local language technology platform*
