    Cuan Mills is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Finance Department.

    Cuan specializes in structured finance and securitization across all major asset classes, focusing in particular on real estate, infrastructure and regulated utilities, and the acquisition financing of NPL and REO portfolios.

    Prior to joining Latham, he trained and qualified in South Africa and worked in the London office of a leading international law firm.

    Experience

    Cuan's experience includes advising:

    • Cerberus on the financing of its real estate joint venture with Banco Sabadell, comprising the Project Challenger, Project Coliseum, and Project Rex portfolios*
    • Cerberus on multiple acquisition financings of NPL and REO portfolios across Europe, including in Portugal (Projects Tagus, Indian, Sertorius, Mars 2), Spain (Projects Jaipur, Bravo) and Ireland (Projects Oyster, Field, Redwood, Scariff, Beech, Snow, and Alder)*
    • Belmont Green and the respective issuers (Tower Bridge Funding No.1 plc, Tower Bridge Funding No.4 plc, and Tower Bridge Funding 2020-1 plc) on three public residential mortgage backed securitisations*
    • Belmont Green on various private securitisations / mortgage receivables warehouse financings*
    • The lenders and arrangers on a warehouse financing for a portfolio of auto loan receivables*
    • Thames Water on senior facilities provided under the Thames Water WBS*
    • J.P. Morgan on the securitisation of a portfolio of Portuguese receivables, though a public securitisation and a private placement*
    • Yorkshire Water on senior facilities provided under the Yorkshire Water WBS*
    • TwentyFour Asset Management on the warehouse financing of a portfolio of UK mortgages*
    • Barclays on a public residential mortgage backed securitization*
