Christine Kalpin advises clients on all aspects of complex national security matters, including issues involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), Outbound Investment Security Program, export controls, and economic sanctions.
As a member of the firm’s CFIUS & US National Security and Economic Sanctions & Export Controls practices, she advises clients on whether to make CFIUS filings, represents clients in CFIUS reviews, and assists clients with the negotiation and implementation of CFIUS mitigation agreements and responses to CFIUS non-notified inquiries.
She also advises clients on compliance and enforcement issues concerning US international trade controls, including economic sanctions regulations administered and enforced by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and US export controls.
Christine received her JD, cum laude, from Boston College Law School. While in law school, Christine was as an executive editor of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest. She also served as a student attorney in the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic and completed the Pro Bono Pledge. During her 1L summer, she interned for Judge Marianne B. Bowler at the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Prior to attending law school, Christine worked as a legal assistant at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Boston.
