Chris Salvatore provides strategic advice to leading companies and private equity firms seeking merger clearance from US antitrust authorities and defending them in civil or criminal antitrust investigations.

Chris draws on his experience from working at another leading law firm to guide clients in strategic mergers and transactions before the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and US Department of Justice (DOJ), including defending clients in merger litigation. He also provides business-centric compliance counselling for both antitrust and anticorruption matters.

Chris advises a broad spectrum of companies across several highly regulated industries, including healthcare, aerospace, defense, technology, and software.

Before joining Latham, Chris was a senior associate at a leading global law firm in Washington, D.C., where he focused on antitrust matters.

  • FuboTV in its agreement to merge with Disney’s Hulu + live TV product
  • A global healthcare company in responding to FTC and third-party subpoenas
  • Informatica, a provider of enterprise AI-powered cloud data management, in its US$8.9 billion sale to Salesforce
  • NortonLifeLock in its ~ US$8 billion acquisition of Avast*
  • Resonetics, a global leader in advanced medical engineering, prototyping, product development, and micro manufacturing in its US$900 million acquisition of Memry; after full compliance with the Second Request, the FTC closed its investigation without seeking a remedy*
  • Cvent on its US$4.6 billion sale to Blackstone*
  • Genius Sports in various transactions and matters*
  • EQT Corporation in its ~US$35 billion merger with Equitrans Midstream Corp. to create a vertically integrated natural gas business*

    • CPI International, Inc. in the sale of its Electron Device Business to TransDigm Group Incorporated for US$1.385 billion*
