Dr. Carsten Haak advises financial sponsors, sovereign wealth funds and corporate clients on complex private equity and M&A transactions across Europe and internationally.

Carsten draws on deep experience in sponsor-led transactions and cross-border M&A to guide clients through strategic acquisitions, disposals, take-privates, minority investments, co-investments, joint ventures, management incentive arrangements, IPOs, and other exit transactions.

He advises clients on transactions across a wide range of industries, with particular experience in growth, regulated, and technology-driven sectors, including software and technology, services, healthcare, and consumer internet, among others.

Carsten’s cross-border perspective is informed by secondments with financial sponsor teams in London and Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Latham, Carsten was a partner in the private equity practice of another global law firm.
