Caroline Bugiel is an associate in the Frankfurt office of Latham and Watkins and a member of the firm's Finance Department. 

Caroline advises German and international clients on a range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions.

Caroline represents financial institutions, private equity funds, and corporate borrowers in:

  • Cross-border and domestic acquisition financings
  • Financial restructurings
  • General corporate financings

Prior to joining Latham, she studied law in Bonn and Koblenz, and completed her legal training in the Finance Department of Latham & Watkins in Frankfurt.

  • DYWIDAG on the refinancing of existing credit facilities (secured Nordic bond of €90 million and senior revolving credit facilities agreement)

M&A Financing

  • Allision Transmission on the acquisition of Dana Inc.
  • Demant on its agreement to acquire KIND Group
  • SPIE on the acquisition of SGS Industrial Services Group

Private Equity-Driven Transactions

  • BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital on the acquisition financing of the Uniconta Group
