Brooke Padgett is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Padgett represents public and private companies, private equity firms, and investment banks in a variety of transactions and financings, including registered and unregistered debt and equity securities offerings. She also advises companies on public reporting obligations and other general corporate matters.

Ms. Padgett also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individual clients on asylum and other immigration matters.

Ms. Padgett received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Georgetown Law Journal and served as a research assistant to Professor Chris Brummer.

She also worked as an intern in the Division of Corporation Finance at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and as a judicial intern for Judge Tanya S. Chutkan at the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
