Azam Chaudry is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.
Azam has gained diverse experience working with various groups within the firm, including Data Technology Transactions, Private Equity Financing, Public Company Representation, and Investment Funds. He advises clients on a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity financings, public companies with reporting requirements, licensing and outsourcing agreements, and the formation and management of investment funds.
Azam maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals seeking asylum in partnership with Human Rights First, and he partnered with the Legal Counsel for the Elderly to draft wills and other vital legal documents for older D.C. residents.
Prior to joining Latham, Azam worked as a business technology analyst at Deloitte.
Azam earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as president of the Muslim Law Students Association. During law school, he was a student attorney with the Georgetown Communications & Technology Law Clinic and externed for the Securities and Exchange Commission.
