Asia Y. Cadet

Asia Cadet advises both US and global clients on a broad range of international trade and national security matters. She provides strategic counsel on regulatory compliance to clients, including those in the AI, autonomous vehicles, robotics, semiconductor, and defense sectors, as it relates to:

• Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) reviews and mitigation agreements
• Restrictions on US investments and data transfers into China, Hong Kong, and Macau (i.e., the Outbound Investment Security Program and Data Security Program)

Asia’s practice also involves internal compliance counseling, including assisting clients in strengthening their compliance policies and functions, conducting internal investigations and audits, and preparing voluntary self-disclosures for submission to the US government.

She earned her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a Karsh-Dillard Scholar and a member of the Black Law Students Association and the Virginia Journal of International Law.
