Asia Cadet, an associate in the Washington, D.C. office, advises both US and global clients on government investigations, regulatory matters, and internal compliance. She has extensive experience working with cross-jurisdictional teams and advising senior executives across the artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, robotics, semiconductor, telecommunications, and defense sectors on international trade and national security matters, including those involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), the Outbound Investment Security Program (OISP), and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Asia also assists clients in strengthening their compliance policies and functions, conducting internal audits, and managing client engagements with and submissions to government regulators, such as the Department of the Treasury, the State Department, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Justice.
She earned her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a Karsh-Dillard Scholar and a member of the Black Law Students Association and the Virginia Journal of International Law.
