Anna Dawson is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.

Ms. Dawson represents financial institutions, bondholders, distressed debt funds, large corporates, private equity sponsors, insolvency practitioners, and other stakeholders on a broad range of restructuring and special situations matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Dawson worked at a magic circle law firm for seven years, primarily based in London, but she also spent time on international secondment working in its Hong Kong office.

Ms. Dawson has previously completed a client secondment in the London office of a global alternative investment firm covering private credit, private equity, and real estate.

Ms. Dawson’s experience includes advising:

  • The ad hoc committee of noteholders on the €350 million debt restructuring of the Haya group, implemented via an English scheme of arrangement and in connection with the sale of Haya Real Estate, S.A.U. which is the market leader in the management of real estate debt and property assets and has the largest portfolio of real estate developer loan (“RED”) properties in Spain
  • The coordinating committee of bank and fund lenders in relation to the £270 million restructuring of EnerMech, a global services group supporting complex energy and infrastructure projects*
  • The RCF lenders on the proposed £1.7 billion restructuring of the UK-listed international airline and tour operator, Thomas Cook Group, to be implemented via scheme of arrangement and Chapter 15 recognition*
  • The creditors on the £900 million restructuring of Interserve plc and the pre-pack administration sale of the Interserve business in 2019*
