Andrew Klokiw is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Andrew’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and strategic corporate transactions, with a particular emphasis on clients in the sports, sports-adjacent, and entertainment industries.
He has experience representing a broad range of clients, including both private and public companies, in executing mergers, joint ventures, co-investments, strategic acquisitions/divestitures, restructuring transactions, and general corporate matters (including corporate governance), among other types of matters.
Andrew is actively involved in the sports legal community, including previously having served as the Secretary of the Corporate/Transactional Subcommittee of the NYC Bar’s Sports Law Committee and further as a member of the Sports Lawyers Association.
He earned his JD in 2020 from The University of Texas School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Texas Law Review, worked for the Texas Law Admissions Program, and founded the school’s club soccer team, the Legal Seagulls. Before Texas Law, he spent four years with Citibank’s Treasury & Trade Solutions division in New York and earned his BA in 2013 from Boston College.
