Latham & Watkins Advises Paul Allen Estate in Completed Sale of Portland Trail Blazers

M&A team represented the estate in the sale of the Portland NBA team to an ownership group led by Tom Dundon.
Following unanimous approval from the NBA Board of Governors, the Rip City Rising ownership group led by Tom Dundon has completed the acquisition of a majority ownership position in the Portland Trail Blazers, the Rip City Remix, and Rip City Management, the operating entity for Moda Center and the Rose Quarter campus.
Latham & Watkins LLP advised the Paul Allen Estate in the transaction with a deal team led by partners Matt Eisler and Russell Hedman, with associates Andrew Klokiw, Cassidy Rowe, Annie Spencer,* Sam Spurrell,* and Wendy Li. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Alan Kimball, with associate Grace Jang.
