Alice Chen is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.
Alice advises private equity funds, public and private companies, and financial institutions on transactional tax matters including fund formation and structuring, sponsor-led secondaries, mergers and acquisitions, financings, derivatives, and capital markets.
Alice maintains an active pro bono practice, representing nonprofit organizations.
While attending Harvard Law School, Alice interned at San Francisco City Attorney's Office, Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, and International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group.
Before her legal career, Alice was a software engineer at a quantitative hedge fund in New York.
