Alice Brunning is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Data & Technology Transactions Practice. 

Ms. Brunning advises clients on international privacy and data protection issues, guiding them on compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and global privacy regulations. 

Ms. Brunning works with clients across a broad range of sectors including technology and life sciences. Ms. Brunning also has experience advising clients on privacy and security issues in connection with corporate transactions, data breaches, and complex data subject access requests.

Ms. Brunning spent four months on secondment to Salesforce, where she worked with the EMEA privacy team. Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Brunning practiced at a leading US firm and a technology boutique law firm. 

Ms. Brunning’s experience includes advising:

  • Major clients such as Softbank on data protection, support, and due diligence on corporate transactions*
  • A leading global social media company on the UK and EU data protection considerations for various new product designs*
  • A large global data breach which was investigated by the Federal Trade Commission*
  • A large hotel chain on the management of 25 local counsel teams providing direct marketing advice*
  • A major mobile ad-network, reaching more than 1.6 billion mobile devices, in carrying out a wholesale review of its privacy practices*
