Alexandra van Doren is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins.
She works on a broad range of litigation matters with an interest in white collar investigations, complex commercial litigation, and healthcare.
Dr. van Doren maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently representing children in custody disputes as a Guardian ad Litem, individuals seeking asylum, individuals in immigration proceedings, and preparing amicus briefs in support of nursing mothers in the workplace and victims of police torture.
Before joining Latham, Dr. van Doren was a PILI Fellow at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Additionally, she taught literature and film courses at the University of Michigan and University of Illinois, served as the managing editor of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law, served as the co-president of the Latinx Law Students Association, and was a student attorney at the Michigan Innocence Clinic.
Dr. van Doren is a member of the Hispanic/Latin American Lawyers Group, Women Lawyers Group, and Parent Lawyers Group.
