Alexandra van Doren Named a Rising Star

National Immigrant Justice Center honors the Chicago associate’s commitment to pro bono.
Chicago associate Alexandra van Doren was recognized as a Rising Star at the 26th annual National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) Human Rights Award Banquet. NIJC honored Alex’s commitment to advising immigrants, asylees, and refugees in the Chicago area. In particular, Alex helped win a grant of political asylum for a client from Togo, and assisted four minors from Mexico in obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and their guardian in securing withholding of removal in the US. NIJC seeks to promote human rights among those fleeing persecution in their homelands and looking for safe harbor.
