Aleksandar Despotovic is an associate in the Corporate Department of the London office of Latham & Watkins, and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Alex represents investment banks, private equity firms, and corporations in public and private equity and debt offerings and liability management transactions, with a particular emphasis on issuances of high-yield debt securities and initial public offerings.

Liability Management Transactions and Restructurings

  • Various issuers, including Harbour Energy, Aker BP, Synthomer, and Citycon, in connection with cash tender offers for existing notes
  • AFE S.A. SICAV-RAIF, a specialist European non-performing loan and real estate investment firm affiliated with Veld Capital (formerly AnaCap Credit), in connection with a comprehensive recapitalization, including an extension of the maturity of existing notes, new term loan facilities totaling €132.9 million, the issuance of approximately €35.7 million additional notes, and an equity transfer of the AFE Group to certain noteholders and funds managed by AGG
  • Lowell, one of Europe’s largest credit management companies, on its recapitalization, which was implemented consensually, including the partial redemption of existing notes, an extension of the maturity of existing notes, the issuance of £250 million (equivalent) of HoldCo PIK notes, and the issuance of €250 million of ‘1.5 lien’ new money notes
