Tyler Krenek is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Krenek advises multinational energy, oil and gas, power, industrial, and financial institution clients on a range of environmental matters, including sustainability initiatives, climate change, voluntary and compliance-grade carbon credit programs, US and global cap-and-trade programs, renewable fuel programs, carbon neutrality, and carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) projects.

His experience includes transactional diligence, contract negotiation and drafting, and permitting. He has also advised clients on strategic initiatives related to sustainability and climate related goals.

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Krenek was a finance associate at an international law firm.

Mr. Krenek’s representative matters include advising:

  • A multinational gas and chemical company on its sustainability initiatives and emissions reductions programs.
  • Private equity funds on lending matters related to carbon offset credits within established carbon trading markets.
  • Private equity clients on environmental transactions including acquisitions, refinancings, and private placements.
