Two London Partners Named Among 20 Most Influential Private Equity Lawyers
Private Equity News named London corporate partners Tom Evans and Kem Ihenacho to its annual 20 Most Influential Private Equity Lawyers list, which celebrates the leading legal minds working in the buyout sector.
The Global Vice Chair of Latham’s Corporate Department, Tom brings two decades of experience advising financial investors and strategics on market-shaping deals. Recent transactions included advising Platinum Equity on its acquisition of corporate gift supplier XD Connects, representing L Catterton on its minority stake investment in Indian restaurant chain Dishoom, and advising Platinum Equity on its acquisition of Solo Group.
Kem, a member of the firm's Executive Committee, plays a key role in the continued success of Latham’s market-leading Private Equity Practice. His inclusion marks his second appearance on the annual list. His recent deals include advising CVC on its £2 billion acquisition of Smiths Detection, Partners Group acting on behalf of its clients and International Schools Partnership (ISP) on the sale of a 20% stake in ISP to CVC Strategic Opportunities, and CVC and its portfolio company Domestic & General on the sale of Domestic & General to Asurion.
