Latham’s elite global Antitrust & Competition Practice took home three prizes at the Global Competition Review (GCR) 2026 GCR Awards ceremony, including Dealmaker of the Year for Washington, D.C. Office Managing Partner Mandy Reeves as well as team awards in the Litigation of the Year – Cartel defense and Litigation of the Year – Non-cartel prosecution categories. Now in its 16th year, GCR’s prestigious annual awards program celebrates the world’s leading antitrust lawyers, economists, and the biggest cases as voted on by the global competition community.
Former Global Chair of Latham’s Antitrust & Competition Practice and now Washington, D.C. Additionally, Latham antitrust litigators advised on two award-winning matters in the GCR Award team categories. For successfully representing Union Pacific, Latham shares the Litigation of the Year – Cartel defense prize with several other firms who together successfully defended four major railways in the long-running In re: Rail Freight Fuel Surcharge Antitrust Litigation. And winning the Litigation of the Year – Non-cartel prosecution team category, after three years of successful litigation, Latham secured a highly favorable resolution for plaintiff Avadel Pharmaceuticals in a complex antitrust and IP dispute with Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
In total, Global Competition Review honored Latham with a record 14 GCR Award Finalist nods for multiple individuals and for a range of Latham-advised merger, litigation, and regulatory successes across the US, Europe, and Asia.
