Latham & Watkins Advises on Financing to Support Cornell Capital’s Acquisition of Advantek

Cornell Capital LLC, a private equity firm based in New York and Hong Kong, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Advantek, LLC, a leading provider of highly engineered carrier tape and associated protective packaging products, from Tinicum, L.P. and affiliated funds managed by Tinicum Incorporated, which will retain a minority stake. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented the financing sources in the transaction with a deal team led by partners Stelios Saffos and Peter Sluka, with counsel Bryce Kaufman and associates Sarah Lohschelder and Beste Bozkurt. Advice was also provided on tax matters by partner Jocelyn Noll.
