Latham & Watkins LLP has advised lenders Rabobank, Kommunalkredit, Apterra, and Ampega on the infrastructure refinancing of Cartonplast totaling €230 million. Cartonplast is Europe’s leading systems supplier for reusable plastic layer pads and a portfolio company of DBAG Fund VII, advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG).

The long‑term refinancing improves Cartonplast’s maturity profile, reduces ongoing borrowing costs, and increases financial flexibility for the implementation of strategic and operative initiatives.

The Latham team was led by Frankfurt Banking & Private Credit partner Sibylle Münch, with counsels Ralph Dräger and Cora Grannemann, and associate Luca Beck. Advice was also provided on financial regulatory matters by Frankfurt partner Axel Schiemann; on capital markets matters by counsel Frank Bierwirth; and on tax matters by Munich partner Ulf Kieker.
