Latham & Watkins Advises Exa in US$250 Million Series C at US$2.2 Billion Valuation

Exa announced it has raised US$250 million in a Series C financing round at a US$2.2 billion to build the search engine for AI. The funding round was led by a16z, with participation from existing investors, Benchmark, Lightspeed, and YC. Exa serves web search to thousands of companies, including AI startups and top private equity and consulting firms, with a state-of-the-art search engine designed for AI applications.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Exa in the transaction with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by New York partner Eli Curi, with associates Justin Tzeng* and Tess Winston, and assistance from Richard Silverman.
