Gabe Fleet, Andy Gass, Alli Stillman, and Joe Wetzel recognized among the music industry’s leading dealmakers and litigators.

Latham & Watkins partners Gabe Fleet, Andy Gass, Alli Stillman, and Joe Wetzel have been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2026 Top Music Lawyers list, which recognizes “the premier attorneys behind the year’s biggest defining moves in music.” The annual list showcases attorneys with the most high-profile music clients, who are closing the biggest deals, taking on the most pressing cases, and shaping music’s legal future.

In the issue, The Hollywood Reporter spotlighted Latham's leadership at the intersection of music and artificial intelligence, noting Gabe's role as Suno's primary outside counsel and his work helping forge a landmark collaboration between Suno and Warner Music Group.

Andy and Joe were recognized for defending Suno and Udio in precedent-setting copyright infringement litigation brought by major record labels and independent artists, while Alli and Joe were noted for their representation of Spotify before the Copyright Royalty Board in a proceeding that will determine songwriter and publisher royalty rates for streaming and downloads through 2032.

Latham's practice in this area spans the full spectrum of legal services in connection with the music industry, from transactional work such as supporting catalog acquisitions, negotiating content licenses, and representing talent, to regulatory counseling and advocacy before federal agencies including the Copyright Royalty Board, to litigation on behalf of leading technology companies in the world in their disputes with record labels and music publishers.
