Arrival of Angie Ng enhances Latham’s premier global Antitrust & Competition Practice and strengthens the firm’s capabilities across the Asia Pacific for high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional transactions and investigations.

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Angie Ng will join the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice as a partner based in Singapore.

One of Asia’s most highly regarded antitrust lawyers, Ng will play a central role in expanding the firm’s Asia-Pacific antitrust capabilities from Singapore, complementing its top-tier China antitrust practice. Ng will further enhance the firm’s ability to advise clients on the most complex cross-border matters in the region.

“We are delighted to welcome Angie to the firm,” said Posit Laohaphan, Office Managing Partner of Latham’s Asia offices. “Angie combines exceptional technical expertise with deep regional experience and trusted relationships across the Asia Pacific. Her arrival further strengthens our ability to support clients on their most strategic M&A, private equity, and regulatory matters, while reinforcing the depth of our premier antitrust platform across the region.”

Having previously lived and worked in Australia, Mainland China, and Hong Kong, Ng has advised clients before competition authorities across the major jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific. Her earlier experience with the Singapore diplomatic service offers clients a unique blend of cross-border legal expertise and government policy insights.

“Angie is one of the most accomplished antitrust lawyers in Asia,” said Lawrence Buterman, Global Chair of Latham’s Antitrust & Competition Practice. “Asia is an important pillar of our global Antitrust & Competition Practice and bringing on a partner of Angie’s stature reinforces our commitment to invest in the practice across the region, especially as regulatory scrutiny and enforcement continue to intensify.”

Latham’s Antitrust & Competition Practice is widely recognized as one of the world’s premier antitrust platforms, delivering seamless, coordinated advice across the United States, Europe, and Asia. The firm advises on many of the most significant and complex global transactions and investigations, combining deep regulatory expertise with market-leading litigation and trial capabilities.

“We are very excited to welcome Angie to our Singapore office,” said Farhana Sharmeen, Co-Deputy Office Managing Partner of Latham’s Asia Offices. “Demand for sophisticated antitrust advice across the Asia Pacific continues to grow as competition authorities become increasingly active and coordinated. Angie’s extensive experience, regional perspective, and strong client relationships strengthen and expand our Asia-Pacific coverage in ways that are directly aligned with our clients’ needs.”

Ng joins from Ashurst LLP in Singapore. She holds an LLB from The University of Sydney and a BA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore. She is admitted as a solicitor in Australia and Hong Kong.
