Latham Advises Energy Transfer on US$1.75 Billion Junior Subordinated Notes Offering

A Texas-based team advised the energy company in its offering of junior subordinated notes.

Energy Transfer LP (NYSE: ET) has announced the pricing of its offering of US$650 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2026A junior subordinated notes due 2057 and US$1.1 billion aggregate principal amount of Series 2026B junior subordinated notes due 2057.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Energy Transfer on the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Houston partner Kevin Richardson and Austin partner Sam Rettew, with associates Rachel Collier, Nikky Wei, and Harrison Little. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partners Tim Fenn and Bryant Lee, with associate Molly Elkins; and on environmental matters by Los Angeles/Houston partner Joshua Marnitz, with associate Jacqueline Zhang.
