Bloomberg Law Readership Votes Ian Schuman Top Capital Markets Lawyer

Ian Schuman, Global Chair of Latham’s Capital Markets and Public Company Representation practices, has been voted Top Capital Markets Lawyer in Bloomberg Law’s latest New York Brief readers’ poll. Receiving a commanding 73% of the vote, readers selected Ian as the New York attorney to “call if you were going public.”

Ian, renowned for steering prominent transactions for globally recognized brands and major investment banks, has recently advised on INNIO’s upsized US$2.43 billion IPO, Figure’s US$717 million acquisition of Kiavi, and GMR Solutions’ US$978.7 million IPO and concurrent private placement.

Asked what makes a good capital markets lawyer, Ian told Bloomberg Law, “A capital markets lawyer is often the quarterback pulling different types of expertise together. You have to be able to see around corners and understand the risks.”
